Packaging specialist Theegarten-Pactec: End-to-end processes with CIM Database PLM

The family-owned company headquartered in Dresden is a leading global manufacturer in the field of packaging technology and an innovative system supplier for upstream and downstream processes. Around 400 employees develop and produce high-quality and intelligent packaging machines for small-sized confectionery, other food and non-food products.
With CIM Database PLM, the company ensures smooth interaction of its systems, processes and employees along the entire value chain from product development to service, maintenance and retrofits of plants in the field. In the future, a valid multi-CAD data management and the integration of existing IT systems and business applications will ensure a consistent view of the data for all stakeholders.
This enables Theegarten-Pactec to implement customer-specific adaptations more quickly and anticipate market requirements. In addition, the company increases the quality of product development, significantly reduces its times and costs, and at the same time shortens the order throughput time.
In the course of a partnership, Theegarten-Pactec and CONTACT are developing a joint solution for documenting all relevant machine-related information that arises during the entire lifetime of a packaging system. With the so-called production file, information on requirements, parts lists, 2D and 3D visualizations, spare parts catalogs, documents and change processes are transparently stored for each packaging system at any time throughout the entire life cycle.
The main focus was on a more efficient management of product-related documentation. The smooth interaction of the individual application modules convinced HBC. With CIM Database, all users now have access to the same valid project planning data, technical changes and quality details. This reduces errors, saves costs and empowers the global service team. At the same time, the integrated project management solution improves cooperation between the individual departments and provides comprehensive support for the company's processes.
